Canine Good Citizen©

The purpose of the American Kennel Canine Good Citizen Program is to ensure our favorite companion, the dog, can be a respected member of the community. Although it is not a competition title, it is an achievable honor to which many pet dogs (and their owners!) can aspire. To receive the CGC© certificate, dogs take the 10 item Canine Good Citizen Test at the end of the course. There is no need for a dog to be registered with the AKC to participate in the program. Clicker training is not a prerequisite skill, but a positive attitude is required! Correction-based training methods or equipment are not acceptable in this class.

Class Requirements
Tasty treats and a willingness to spend a few minutes each day with your puppy or dog. Do NOT purchase any new equipment prior to the first night of class, we will offer equipment recommendations based on our experience of what works best.
